United Transfer Rumours and Gossip - Noucamp99 - 16-04-2013

This is the place to add any rumours, gossip or other UNITED-related news about possible transfers.

Rooney off to PSG in the summer?

There are reports in the papers this morning that Wazza has signed a deal with PSG and will be joining them for around £25m. This is in the Sun and the Mirror, but the Telegraph are reporting that he is actually due to sit down with United and thrash out a new deal.

Wonder what one is true?

RE: United Transfer Rumours and Gossip - Noucamp99 - 16-04-2013

Quote:Rooney to sign new deal
Wayne Rooney is likely to sign a new contract to extend his Manchester United career this summer, despite suggestions from France that Paris Saint-Germain have concluded a deal for the player. It is understood that PSG’s Qatari owners would be interested if Rooney came on to the market, though they do not believe that situation will arise, or that Sir Alex Ferguson would sanction the sale of one of his top players to a potential Champions League knock-out stage rival. The relationship between Rooney and Ferguson does appear to have thawed since the player was omitted from the starting line-up for the Champions League tie with Real Madrid last month and the prospects of contract talks beginning this summer are strong. There do not appear to be any plans to move for a striker to present Rooney with competition for places, contrary to suggestions of the club scouting Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao. There are no plans to move for Falcao.

Not all the papers are so sure Rooney's future lies at Old Trafford, however. The Express, The Mirror and The Sun all lead on Michel Moulin's comments on French TV, where the boss of French publication 10 Sport revealed: "Rooney to PSG is done. I announce from trusted sources, he will be at PSG next season."

Quote:Highly-rated Vasco da Gama defender Dede has confirmed that Cruzeiro have made a bid to sign him.

The 24-year-old, who has seven caps for Brazil, has been the subject of intense speculation about his future over the past 18 months.

A host of top European clubs have been linked with a move for Dede, including Premier League trio Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, Italian giants AC Milan and Ligue 1 leaders PSG.

Weren't we linked with Dede a few seasons back? Just as he broke onto the world stage? That one went away.
Another one. They come thick and fast, even when the window is closed!!!

Quote:Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna says he is flattered that Manchester United were reportedly watching him on Sunday.

Reports in the Italian media have stated that United had a scouting delegation at the Stadio Olimpico as Torino took on Roma, and Ogbonna was believed to be the reason for the visit.

Highly-rated Ogbonna has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the last 12-months.

However, the 24-year-old Italian international insists he is focusing on making sure Torino stay in Serie A.

"If they came to see me, this obviously flatters me, but right now I don't think about the future," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"I live in the present and, just like all my team mates, I think only to the Torino's salvation."

Ogbonna has spent his entire career with Torino having come through their youth system, and is considered one of the best young defenders in Europe.

We've got some Wayne Rooney transfer news here! Honestly, I don't want the man to transfer, but if he's tired of United, then I will judge his decision. Although this season was not his best, his contributions to the club cannot be repaid through money and praise.

If ever you transfer, Mr. Rooney, thank you for everything.

On to the news.

Quote:Big-spending Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to put together a staggering £100million deal to land Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United striker Rooney has emerged as the French side's No1 target this summer, and their mega-rich Middle Eastern owners are prepared to pay him a staggering £15m-a-year - after tax.

Quote:The new Ligue 1 champions would be willing to go to £40m as a transfer fee, and hand Rooney a four-year contract to try to lure him away from the Old Trafford giants.

Quote:He is certain to want to see where he stands with incoming manager David Moyes, who officially succeeds the retiring Alex Ferguson on July 1, before he makes any decision on his future.

Quote:It remains to be seen whether Rooney would turn his back on the Premier League for French football, which is not as competitive, week-in and week-out.

I think its probably 50/50 if Rooney is sold this Summer. Although if he doesn't leave I think he knows himself that it will probably be an awkward affair, especially in the first few games he plays.

If Ogbonna comes to Man United then that should be interesting as he is a very good player and could work well alongside smalling or Jones to try and get some experience with a youthful defence.

Quote:Manchester United are the new favourites to sign Robert Lewandowski, after Borussia Dortmund insisted they will not sell another star to Bayern Munich.

The Poland striker was expected to follow in the footsteps of Mario Gotze in switching the Westfalenstadion for the Allianz Arena this summer, but Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has since insisted "we will not agree a transfer for Bayern FC this summer".

With Wayne Rooney requesting to leave Old Trafford again, the online bookmaker expect United to be next in line to land for the 24-year-old, whose contract expires next summer.

Lewandowski, who scored 24 goals in the Bundesliga and 10 in the Champions League last season, looks unlikely to see out his current deal at Dortmund, having indicated he wants a "new challenge".

Wow! I thought Lewandowski to Bayern was a done deal. Having said that, I was NOT impressed with his showing in the CL final. He didn't seem to have much to offer. Swap deal for Rooney?

RE: United Transfer Rumours and Gossip - Noucamp99 - 12-06-2013

Nani possibly on his way?

Quote:Galatasaray have failed in a bid for Nani because Manchester United want £8.5million for the winger, according to the Turkish club.

The Portugal international has never really fulfilled his potential at Old Trafford and new boss David Moyes is thought to be ready to sell this summer.

Galatasaray are among the clubs who are interested in signing Nani, who has just one year left on his contract, but claim they cannot meet United's valuation.

The Turkish club's chairman, Unal Aysal, said: "We offered €7million (£6m) for him. But they didn't accept. We can't give more than this.

"We are not going to follow Nani anymore. We can't give more than €7m for him.

"They want €10million (£8.5million). Because of this he is not on our transfer list anymore."
