CONFIRMED: Tyler Blackett joins Celtic on Loan

CELTIC took the unusual step of announcing the loan signing of Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett DURING their game against St Johnstone.

There were 10 minutes remaining in the first half with the game in the balance at 1-1 when the club announced the deal on their official Twitter feed, linking to a one-sentence statement on their official site which read: "Celtic are delighted to announce the signing of Tyler Blackett on a season long loan from Manchester United."
