Thierry Henry, a gifted and charismatic player, but definitely not one of my favorites.
However, he retires as his country's record goal scorer and second most 'Highly Capped Player' and so, must be commended.

A consummately epic career with Arsenal led to him being declared their 'Greatest Ever Player' in 2008, having moved on to Barcelona the previous year.
Always a big threat to Manchester United, in his Arsenal days, Henry is currently third in the list of 'All-Time Premier League goal-scorers'.

Although Henry's footballing career brought him many awards and titles over the years, he will best be remembered, by many, as the man whose 'double Hand Ball' cheated Ireland out of their rightful place in the 2010 World Cup.

Now winding down, his final years in football finds him playing for 'The New York Red Bulls' where he will, no doubt, have continued success as an 'American Soccer' player.
