Diouf granted work permit
#1
Exciting young striker Mame Biram Diouf will be available for selection in January after being granted a work permit.

The 22-year-old has impressed in training recently since signing in the summer from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s former club Molde, for whom he has since been playing on loan.

Diouf, who has made one appearance for the senior Senegal national side, is a powerful, quick and direct frontman, and has an excellent strike-rate at Molde.

If Sir Alex’s glowing appraisal is anything to go by, he may get a chance in the first team sooner rather than later, although he won’t be available for the FA Cup tie against Leeds on 3 January.

Sir Alex said earlier this month: “If you’re talking about value then you can look at our young boy Diouf.

"He’s been training with us and is looking very exciting. That’s the kind of situation we’re good at – finding young players who can develop at the club and at 22 years of age he’s looking very good.”

So, time will tell about this lad. There haven't been too many reports on him, just about whether or not United would pursue their interest. Another striker. Shame he can't play at the back!!
Oh, just to add:

Position: Striker
Born: 16 December 1987
International: Senegal

Record at Molde (2007-2009)
League appearances: 75
League goals: 34

Sounds good another young prospect snapped up.

I would like to see him get first team action like Obertan did. His quality has pace and killer instinct, might be to early to call him drogba's succesor but he has the chance. Plus I like how Man United is looking at African Talent , as they havn't done that int he last couple of years. (I'm Italian/African)

Fergie said that he will not play in match with Hull. He said that he will MAYBE start from the reserves in match with ManCity in Semi-Final of the FA Cup

you might dissagree with me but im not excited about this player yet. i wasnt about obertan and now he is great. people shoulnt be going made about him he hasnt played yet.

i suppose with all this young talent at United, that's why fergie won't go into the transfer market when the window opens next month. However, are they good or experienced enough to help us at the moment? The future sure looks bright but we have so many injuries right now i can't see any of them fitting in now.Great Giggsy signed for another year .We need the older lads badly now until the young ones come through and gain more experience, getting used to the pace of the prem is not easy.
