Well for me, that would have to be Rooney at the moment. But in the last couple of years, it would certainly be a tight one between Roy Keane and Eric Cantona.

He always realize tat he's Red devil.. on the pitch..
he's not a striker,who stands near opponent defence lane and call for te ball/service often..
After 30 odd min if he didnt get a proper chance... he immdtly switch to left or right flank to create chances....
at 90 min his energy lvl is 100%
he never overeact for his Goal celeberation.....
ps:i love his attitude while man utd "goal down"/loosing........ and his onfield fights <3...
no doubt,,,,for te next 10 years he will be the Heart beat of Man utd

Roy Keane is my all time favourite utd player.
But the first player I really was a huge fan of and inspired me alot when playing football in my younger years was Andrei Kanchelskis. Such an amazing player. Technical skills and speed.
