Manchester United ready £18m bid for Porto defender "Rolando"
Manchester United are looking to Porto for defenisve
reinforcement, according to a report from The Daily Mail, and are considering an £18m bid for defender Rolando.
The 24-year-old has impressed with his displays in the Champions League this season. He has also been called into the Portugal squad by former United assistant manager Carlo Queiroz.
He has formed a solid partnership with Bruno Alves this season and is highly rated by his club, who reportedly value him at £28m.
United are said to be in the market for defenders currently as concerns grow about the long-term futures of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
Rumours continue to link Vidic with a move away from Manchester, possibly to Spain, whilst Ferdinand continues to battle injury problems.
