Neville to retire?

That's the news all over the internet. Guess it was coming sooner rather than later.

He seems the kind of person who would call it day when he felt his contributions to the team weren't up to his own expectations. Sad to hear even though it's not confirmed, felt awful when Keane retired too, these two had that warrior aura about them that you don't see very often these days.

If it's true let's hope he continues his association with the club, everyone is of the opinion that Giggs and Neville have a lot to do with keeping youngsters grounded & focussed and that's an influence we can do with in the current age.

Your thoughts ...... ?

Another legend. Great attitude, serving one club and hating another (dippers, lol). Maybe not the most gifted player, but gave everything for the shirt.

United would have a great seniors side, made up of former players??!!

tbh, after sundays performance i knew this was coming, he dosent seem to have the pace anymore

I'm not convinced that pace was his top attribute, anyway. He read a game well and that got him where he was. I think we'll miss his leadership on the park. Who is vocal enough to step into those boots?

Real shame, real United legend. If Neville leaves I assume Giggs would be full time skipper, as he's already like vice captain or something. Probably then when both leave I assume Evra would be, as he's always skipper when both of them are out of a match.
