i think his influence in the dressing room, at carrington and on the pitch is still felt - especially by some of the younger members of the squad, sure...he dosn't beat a man then launch a bullet into the top corner anymore - the legs are gone but i think there still aren't many that can ping a 60yard pass onto your foot 
I also hope this dosnt deter from any potential summer signings SAF might be lining up. I'd like to see Gourcuff from Bordeux come over as he is a dead ball specialist and also through ball expert, gets the odd goal from open play too. but anyway thats nether here nor there
