Pep Guadiola set for OT role
#1
So according to one tabloid report the big chiefs have approached the agent of Pep Guadiola with an enquiry for a coaching role leading to replacing Sir Alex . Have to say , far fetched at the very least . Why would he ever want to leave Barce for a coaching role in the first place unless of course he feels he has achieved everything he can at the Nou Camp .
So who do you think will replace Sir Alex ? please offer up your reasons for suggestion and who you think will ultimately end up in the hot seat .
As for me , i personally think the job has been José Mourinho's for quite a while now . I think he has been treading water since the day he left Chavski and knows exactly when Sir Alex is stepping aside and he will slide into place . Very difficult position to take up after everything Sir Alex has done , cant possibly be toppped but a new fresh start may be exactly whats needed right now - starting with the Glaziers !!

Man Utd sound out Guardiola minders

Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.

The News of the World says Guardiola is being sounded out about taking over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United within two years.

The Barcelona boss has a contract at the Nou Camp until June but is content to let it run down as he awaits the outcome of the Spanish giants' presidential elections.

United have asked Guardiola's agent about bringing him to Old Trafford in a coaching role next season, with a view to succeeding Fergie 12 months after that.

"A club has contacted me but there have been no discussions over money or the sporting project. Anything like that is up to Pep," said Guardiola's agent Jose Maria Orobigt.

Guardiola, 38, has been reported as Fergie's preferred choice to take over at United when he finally retires within the next couple of years.
