I would have to agree with Roy Keane and say Denis Irwin. Great at set pieces; one of the first United full backs to look to bomb forward; two-footed and a great leader.

Jaap Stam is the best defender I haven in the team. Physically strong, good in the air and great positioning. Even Ferguson admitted it was a mistake to sell him when he was only 29.
