Sir Alex was voted 'The Best Coach in the World' according to an online poll carried out by 'Goal.com'.

He polled almost 47% of the votes cast.
Contrast that with 'The Special One' who came in second with a poll of 27% and you can see the overall depth of respect that SAF commands.

The final results were :~

  1. Sir Alex Ferguson .... 46.11%
  2. Jose Mourinho .... 26.95%
  3. Josep 'Pep' Guardiola .... 13.77%
  4. Marcello Lippi .... 8.38%
  5. Fabio Capello .... 4.79%

Italy at the moment.

Suprised Hiddink isnt higher.
thanks reillg.

i wouldn't have put lippi up there
Yeah, although he did win the world cup.

Italy are playing terrible football at the moment and I'm not 100% sure about Capello either, he is good but 5th best in the world. Seems a touch biased towards Italy. But even they know who the greatest it.
capello hasn't matched good enough teams yet as england manger to be called 5th best. when they do, well, spain will tell you...
what about trapatonni lol
