Although he only played a handful of matches for United, he is fondly remembered. Sadly, Ralph Milne has died, aged 54.

Former Dundee United and Manchester United winger Ralph Milne has died at the age of 54.

He had been receiving treatment in hospital for liver problems.

Milne helped Dundee United win the league championship in 1983, scoring the first goal in a 2-1 win over city rivals Dundee that sealed the title.

"Ralph can now take his seat in the main stand on high alongside other departed club legends," Dundee United said in a statement.

Inducted into Dundee United's hall of fame in 2009, he scored 75 goals in 286 appearances for the Tangerines.

After moving south, he played for Charlton Athletic and Bristol City before a move to Manchester United in 1988.

He made 30 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring three goals.

Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson said: "This is a very sad day. Ralph's skill and flair epitomised the Dundee United teams he graced and he was undoubtedly one of the finest footballers to hail from the city of Dundee.

"He remains Dundee United's top goalscorer in Europe and I am grateful to have watched him in his prime many times during those fantastic years he starred for United.

"It was a privilege to have known Ralph and he will be remembered fondly and missed sadly by Arabs everywhere."

I have been a supporter of Man United since 1962 and I am disgusted and disheartened of the way our club is being run. This transfer window has been a complete shambles. We have become the laughing stock of the Premier League. Who is to blame? LVG, Woodward, the Glazers? I don't know.

Personally I think its the Glazers. They are the owners and must sanction every aspect of the club. I was against United becoming a PLC back in 1991 and all my concerns at the time are now fact. The older supporters will remember Louis Edwards, a past Chairman, and all the stick he would get, compared to this lot he was a saint. Their has been a lot of comments about paying £36 million for a teenager, I don't care about the money. Every million spent on transfers is a million the Glazers can't leach from the club. My Green and Gold scarf is coming out of the cupboard, If it's ever been in.

As far as this season is concerned we can forget about winning the league, we havn't got a chance. The best we can hope for is 4th again and I think that will be a struggle. The Champions League is a dream that will turn out to be a nightmare.

Three weeks ago I was really looking forward to this season, now is wish it was May and it was all over.

The young Belgium international was the first Reds player to score in the Barclays Premier League this season, when he netted the only goal in the 1-0 win at Aston Villa. He will now spend the rest of the campaign gaining some valuable experience in the Bundesliga.

Januzaj told the German club's website: "Borussia Dortmund are a great club. The fans here are supposed to be really incredible and I want to achieve great things with the team."

Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc said: "Adnan is a highly gifted and technically gifted player who completes our attacking department."

Januzaj has made 60 first-team appearances for United so far, since his debut against Wigan Athletic in the 2013 Community Shield. He has notched five goals, including a memorable double in a 2-1 win at Sunderland on his first start in the senior side.

The attacking midfielder inherited the famous no.11 shirt following Ryan Giggs' retirement, but he will wear no.9 in Borussia Dortmund's colours.

The Danish goalkeeper made 29 first-team appearances for the Reds after being signed by Sir Alex Ferguson during the transfer window of January 2011.

Lindegaard, who has signed a two-year contract at Albion, told their official club website: "Since moving to England I've been impressed with how well West Brom have done in the Premier League.

"I had a good chat with Tony Pulis - I must call him the 'gaffer' now - and he convinced me it would be a good move for me and the club. From there things moved very quickly. I was very keen to get it done so I can just concentrate on the thing that matters most, the football. I am very happy to join West Brom and hope I can make a big contribution this season."

West Brom's goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould said: "We are bringing an experienced goalkeeper into the mix. Anders has an international pedigree, he's a big guy and been part of a very good team at Manchester United. I'm sure he will fit in very well."
