RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - benose - 09-08-2009 Thanks for sharing mate. A true valuable lesson. RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - WreckingBall - 09-08-2009 Good to finally know the answer to this.. I came close to calling a person petty on a 606 thread for critisizing another. Glad I decided otherwise now. The term is only used by other supporters as a complete and utter insult to our club. The "u" is meant to be "you" by the rival fans.i call us unted or manchester utd never man 'u' RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - unitedman - 09-08-2009 (09-08-2009, 01:59 PM)rhernandez06 Wrote: well why this is most true, i still will say man u! if you keep saying this after reading tis you are a complete twat and don't deserve to be a united fan RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - Bravo - 11-08-2009 Thank you for sharing, will never say/write Man U again. After this. RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - (((blood-red-devil))) - 12-08-2009 spot on mate RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - masakira - 15-08-2009 i heard this at the club a long while ago, i call us united or man united, is ok? RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - darcsideleek - 15-08-2009 Never knew that!! Have been guilty of using it in the past but never again! RE: Why We Don't Say Man U - Djemba Djemba Djemba Djemba - 15-08-2009 OK, first of all I don't call us Man-U as I know about the Munich song. But... Seems that hardly any non-Utd fans know about this, and (as confirmed by many of the posters above), quite a large proportion of Utd fans don't either. Rather than getting offended every time we hear it (when most people don't mean offence), isn't it time we re-claimed the 'U' as our own? Like African-Americans and the 'n' word? For the few idiots who say Man U to cause offence... they're disgusting wind-up merchant low-lifes, but by getting wound up, we're giving them what they want, surely?! |
