United Agree to Sign Chicharito - Noucamp99 - 08-04-2010 Subject to a work permit, the deal for the Chivas forward will be completed on July 1. 'Chicharito', as he is known, will become the first Mexican player to sign for United. As part of the deal, United will play a match to open the new 45,000 capacity Chivas Stadium in Guadalajara this summer. Sir Alex Ferguson said: "I am delighted to reach agreement with Chivas to bring such an exciting young striker, who has been in such prolific form for both his club and his country. "We are equally excited to play our first game in Mexico, opening the magnificent new Chivas Stadium in July." Chicharito passed a medical in Manchester this week and has an impressive strike-rate at club level, scoring almost once every two games. However, he has done even better for his country, with four goals in four appearances, making him a contender for the World Cup.
