Januzaj joined United on the pre-season tour, but seems surplus to Jose's requirements and has gone on another season-long loan, this time to Sunderland.

The move reunites the 21-year-old with manager David Moyes who gave him his debut for the Old Trafford side in the summer of 2013.

Januzaj earned rave reviews for his performances over the next few months and was rewarded with a five-year contract which runs out in the summer of 2018.

However, he failed to hold down a regular first-team spot and was loaned to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for the first half of last season.
