I don't think United tend to play with a rigid formation, anyway. The lads are so fluid that they can be set up as 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-1-2-3, whatever suits the time in the match. Look at Wazza last season, moving out wide to fill in on the left. Then moving through the middle. It makes it hard for the opposition by having flexibility.
