TIMES IN OLD TRAFFORD: loads
REASON FOR SUPPORTING UNITED: Dad lucky to see Busby Babes & was stationed in Manchester, so he had soft spot for the Red Devils. It seemed natural to follow, even though not a successful side when I started. Not too shabby now, though, lol Smile

HOW YOU HEARD ABOUT US: An Angel came to me in a vision-Or was it a 'Red Devil'?

YEARS SUPPORTING 'UNITED':Errr! I remember being allowed to 'stay up'(was probably a school night!!!) to watch Man Utd v Benfica 1968 (George Best & Eusabio!!!- These were amazing players in their day. It's difficult to explain 'how different they were from all the rest'! ). I used to support 'Leeds United' ( Aged 8-11) AS WELL AS MAN UTD, AT THE SAME TIME!!! & BRAZIL!!!! Things were different in the 1960's. I saved my pocket money and had a subbuteo team painted at a 'hobby shop' in Brazil's colours when I was 10.
If you lived in Leeds you couldn't buy 'Manchester United' scarves & memorabilia in Leeds, there was no internet etc...!!! When I was 11, there was only one boy in the whole school who didn't support Leeds Utd!!!! He'd moved here from Birmingham!!
My dad was a dentist and he used to do the teeth of some of the Leeds United team, so I had their autographs and stuff! I grew out of football for a while (aged 12-25. I got into girls and later- a career! I was a Doctor, a Haematologist -specialising in Paediatric Leukaemia diagnostics) , but am loving it again now....more than ever!
In the 1990's I used to wear a red ribbon in my hair ( to tie my ponytail) on match days at the hospital I worked at. I used to have a very big garden with a pond and water features. We used to dye the water 'red' with chemicals for the FA cup games. I had to retire some years ago, due to health problems.

TIMES IN OLD TRAFFORD: Never. I stood outside once, Steve Bruce (Captain at the time) was there, I was too shocked/scared to approach him for his autograph!!! I just stood there 'awe-struck' , in shock! ( I'm not often speechless, as you can see!!)

REASON FOR SUPPORTING UNITED: They bring pleasure into my life, sometimes pain & suffering! Bit like life itself. You put in the time and effort, you reap the rewards, and if you can do it in a way that makes you and others happy, you're the champion!!
