Reports just came on Skysports that Berba's knee was bothering him after the game. So now talk again that he could face the knee surgery.
Berba may be facing op
Striker will be assessed on Monday after reporting pain in his knee
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov may be facing a knee operation after reporting pain during Saturday's victory over Burnley.
The Bulgarian scored the crucial 64th minute opener at Old Trafford but United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said afterwards that the Bulgarian could have come off at half-time.
Ferguson once again raised the spectre of a knee operation for the player only a day after revealing that his record signing had vowed to battle through the pain barrier.
The club will now assess the fitness of the striker - who was substituted in the 73rd minute with United two-up - on Monday.
Ferguson said: "Dimitar was feeling his knee again.
"He played through it today but he could have come off at half-time.
"We will have to look at it again on Monday and see what the situation is."
If the Bulgarian does have to have a spell on the sidelines, Ferguson will certainly miss his threat.
The United boss added: "He was the player who looked most like scoring today.
"A couple of shots went just by the post, he also had a couple of headers over the bar. He had so many attempts he was probably relieved to get one in the end."
