It good to see him sign a new contract. The lad will do well. If he is modelling his career on the older ones like Scholes, Giggs and Neville and has a passion for the club that will give him an edge above some others who may come along. Too many players are only at a club for the development oportunity and the big money and move on at the first chance they get. Skill is very important obviously but passion is also very important. It can make all the difference between a win and a draw. (Look at Paul Scholes goal at Eastlands) If he is pledging his allegance for the long term then hopefully he will be another UTD legend in 15 yrs time.
I'm obviously biased but what he learns at UTD will also help the Northern Ireland national team. He has been a great asset so far. He should get plenty of matches as our defence seem to pick up a lot of injuries, especially Rio.
