Carrick - Take 2
#1
Manchester United and Michael Carrick have reached a verbal agreement for him to become the club’s interim head coach until the end of the season.
The contractual details are now being finalised by lawyers on both sides, and Carrick could sign the paperwork later this afternoon.
Carrick has now arrived at Carrington Training Ground to meet with director of football Jason Wilcox.
Both sides are keen for the deal to be completed as soon as possible, so that Carrick can begin preparing to take training on Wednesday ahead of facing Manchester City

Former England assistant coach Steve Holland will be part of Michael Carrick’s interim backroom staff at Manchester United.

Carrick, who is expected to take charge of United until the end of the season, is also expected to be joined by former Leeds star Jonathan Woodgate, Travis Binnion and Jonny Evans.

Darren Fletcher is expected to return to his role as U18s coach
