Best Striker of Manchester United ?
#11
Berbatov was one of the most enigmatic strikers on his day. And what about Cantona?? His signing was the catalyst towards Premier league trophy number 1! Maybe he is classed as a forward and not a striker?

Cole and Yorke?

Although not many have gone for Garry Birtles, have you forgotten Mark Hughes? Solskjaer?

The list will be endless, really.

It's really difficult to pick one 'best' striker. I think van Nistelrooy was probably the most natural goal scorer I've seen at United.

Denis Law, Rooney, Cole and Yorke are all up there too. You could also argue Ronaldo even though he plays mainly on the wing.

For me it's definitely Wayne Rooney, he's really amazing and shoots with strong and precision!

When Van Persie is in top form I'd have to say he's the most consistent striker on the squad. If the guy is in "the zone" then he has the capability to score at least a goal per game. I wouldn't count Rooney out either. He is a close second and is often better at times despite his tendency to pick up a yellow card on occasion.

Van the Man. Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He was a killer. One hundred and fifty goals in only five seasons. Best Dutch striker since Van Basten. Defenders all over Europe feared him.

Berbatov was a great striker but for me i would pick rooney. He is always better off when he is outside the box and can give the team a perfect long range shoot.Van nistelrooy was a legend, maybe a decade back and from then on Rooney has taken up the mantle well.RVP too is a good choice, but he isn't exactly at the top for me.

Personally I would not place Berbatov in a top ten list, nevermind name him as my favourite striker, I found him lazy and incredibly stroppy, maybe I just look for more from a striker than goals? Because his goal tally for Manchester United was decent.

Bobby Charlton, Dennis Law, Wayne Rooney, Eric Cantona and even Ole Gunnar Solskjær would be higher on my list than him.

Remember the match versus Rovers,2010..?? 5 goals in a match...He is surely one of the best, but not sure why you don't take a liking to him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær was an assassin as his name suggests..Tongue and had nearly 90 odd goals from 380 appearances..Quite a record indeed.
The ones you had named were all of the past, but name on who is in the squad now and is globally recognized as a good striker.Lemme guess RVP..??

I tend to go off players who have ability like him and throw strops and sulk when things don't go exactly as they want. Smile
