Yes, SAF says that Ando takes it really personally when he doesn't play and gets annoyed! That's a good thing and shows he cares for the shirt. Ando has shown some good form this season and SAF agrees, according to SSN:
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Anderson's recent form has 'cranked up the contest' for a place in Manchester United's midfield.
Anderson has made 91 appearances for United since his 2007 move from Porto, but has struggled for consistency during his time at Old Trafford.
He has shown flashes of his ability, but has yet to command a regular place in the Red Devils team, having started only eight of the club's 17 Premier League games this season.
However, Ferguson has been impressed by the 21-year-old's recent form and is confident Anderson is thriving on the competition for a spot in central midfield.
"Midfield is the hardest area for our young players to progress because we have some excellent players operating in that department," the United boss told the club's official website.
"But Anderson has certainly cranked up the contest for places after hitting great form. He took his time - he's only 21, remember! - but he has settled and matured.
"The competition has not dimmed his self-belief, which is important. He has a Brazilian belief in his own ability and he is going to become a top player.
"He is flying at the moment and he certainly wants to play. In fact, he has a face on him like a bag of tripe when I don't play him."

That'll certainly give SAF the right kind of selection headache, unlike the defensive ones he's been having lately!
