Really hope that Vidic news is false to be honest. Would love to get both Villa and Silva, Akinfeev for when VDS leaves us. Sell out Foster or a loan, keep Kuszczak as back up, get rid of Park and Berba, get Kaijer as well.

Reds eyeing Richards?(man shity Right back??)

Micah to move across town?
Manchester United are ready to move for Micah Richards if rivals Man City lose patience with the defender. Richards, 21, has only started eight Premier League games this term, and the City hierarchy have become increasingly concerned by the defender’s erratic performances.

City staff also have worries over the attitude of the former England starlet. Richards, who penned a five-and-a-half year contract in February 2008, has clashed with Hughes in the past. And if City decide to offload the defender, then United are ready to bid for him.

Sir Alex Ferguson is a huge admirer of Richards and tried to sign him when he first broke on the scene. Ferguson is considering his options at right-back with growing concerns about Gary Neville’s fitness and Rafael da Silva’s ability.

Ferguson believes his man-management could control Richards and United are hoping to do business if City will sell to them.

WOW! He was a great prospect, but unlikely to improve under a manager like Sparky. I'm not sure that a defender will learn alot from a great striker. It's like I heard today that West Ham are being split in training, with Steve Clarke taking the midfielders and the strikers, while Zola has the defenders! They'll not learn a great deal from that set up.

Back on track and Richards would be a good buy. He'd get to move to a big club that looks after it's players and he'd work with some great coaches and with a man in SAF who sees what the players can become. So what if he used to play for them, eh? He won't be the first, nor the last to make the switch, I'm sure.

I am concerned, too, with Rafael's ability at full back. Good going forward, but maybe still a little green in defence. Still young, but no harm in fighting for your place.

Richards could integrate well in the squad.
