Why We Don't Say Man U
YES other club used to call manu ,,, it show hw lazy they are to pronounce a full word

they can call utd Wink
Cheers mate..have learned it was offensive but never knew why til now. Cheers Steve, use United or Man United myself, or Manchester United
Would never use the term Man U anyway as i think it is lazyness rather than abbreviating and if it is offensive then it is offensive to me as well.

On another note that fruit lee bowyer was on sky sports news today and referred to us as Man U he would leeds scum.

I wish more of the newbies who come on here would read this thread. We've seen a couple using the wrong term and it's not good to still hear it.

Also, I get annoyed every time I read news about United in the Sun! They really can't be bothered to be respectful and use the shortened version.
United or Man Utd...dats wat i usually use...but good to know abt this steve...thanks for the share

Respect!!
Anyone who thinks a football disaster is funny be it munich hillsborough ibrox or heysel needs their heads looked at. And if thats why people say Man U then they can feck right off.
