When I was away the last Bank Holiday, I got talking to an Everton fan at brekkie. He said about Man U and I told him that us true United fans just don't say that. He was surprised, but when I educated him as to why we call our team Man United, United, or Manchester United, etc, etc and NOT Man U, he said he understood and was sorry - he just didn't know.
I was surprised about another fact that he got tickets for the game on Saturday with his son, another Toffee, as they admire both United and the Arse and wanted to be truly entertained. Obviously, they don't get that at Goodison!!
