David Moyes to tell Wayne Rooney his future lies at Manchester United
Posted by: themarksquared - 21-05-2013, 03:49 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (14)

Good day, Red Devils.

I have another piece of news for you. This time, it's about David Moyes' comment for Wayne Rooney saying that he will be staying in United.

I'll be quoting the important parts of the article. For those who wants to read the full article, here is the source.

Enjoy reading.

Quote:David Moyes is minded to keep Wayne Rooney at Manchester United and the new manager is hopeful he can convince the striker that his long-term future remains at the club.

Quote:Moyes, who spent his first day of work as United's manager visiting the club's Carrington training ground, will make resolving Rooney's future one of his priorities. He was welcomed on Monday by the news that Rio Ferdinand will sign a new one-year contract no later than Friday.

Quote:Most importantly, there is a desire on the part of Moyes to keep Rooney at United. Rooney has two years remaining on his deal – the usual point for renewing terms – and, if he decides to stay, his salary of about £300,000 a week means any negotiations regarding a fresh contract could be lengthy.

Quote:Moyes will definitely have Ferdinand after the defender agreed a deal worth at least £100,000 a week. Ferdinand is out of the country with friends including Jody Morris, the former Chelsea midfielder, for a stag party but the fresh contract will be announced in the coming days.

David Moyes meeting Manchester United backroom staff - BBC Sport
Posted by: themarksquared - 21-05-2013, 03:42 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (5)

Good day, Red Devils!

I've stumbled upon some ManUtd news while I was surfing the internet. This time, it's about David Moyes and the meetings he has been doing with the roster. Since I'm a part of this forum, I've decided to share it with you.

For those who are doubtful, here is the source.

I shall be quoting the important parts of the article.

Quote:David Moyes held talks with Manchester United's squad and coaching staff on Monday after starting work at his new club in an unofficial capacity.

Quote:The meetings on Monday were driven by Moyes's desire to give staff at Old Trafford and Goodison Park clarity about their future before they go on holiday.

Quote:His first-team coach at Everton, Jimmy Lumsden, is tipped to join him at United.

Quote:Their first competitive game with Moyes in charge is the Community Shield against FA Cup winners Wigan at Wembley on 11 August.

I'm quite excited to see if Moyes will deliver on August 11.

GGMU!

Posted by: themarksquared - 21-05-2013, 12:51 AM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (12)

Good day Red Devils!

I have a question for you which I'm sure you'll be able to answer.

We feel attracted to something or someone whenever we feel that there's a connection or there's something that we like about them. We appreciate that something or someone when we can look up to them.

In line with this, my question for you is what made you fall in love/feel attracted to Manchester United?

To start the discussion, I will share my views. I fell in love with Manchester United due to the good form they always show during their matches.

It's your turn to answer. Let's start a discussion!

  Your ideal 3 signings

Just wondering what would the top 3 signings everybody would like to see at United this season. I think Fabregas in the middle, Baines at left back and Lewandowksi would be a brilliant opening window for Moyes.
