Exclamation How many of you actually have played proffesional football?
Posted by: blah_united - 25-08-2009, 08:59 PM - Forum: The Lounge - No Replies

How many of you have actually played proffesional football?

How many of you know what it feels like to have the ball passed to you, and have a huge monster storm his way towards you?

How many of you know what it feels like to have a million eyes on you?

How many of you have experienced the humiliation of missing an open goal in front of thousands?

How many of you know what it feels like to have a heap of expectation bestowed upon you?

How many of you do something yourself before you judge someone else on how they do what they do?

How many of you have experienced the throbbing pain of a bone - crunching tackle done on you?

How many of you have the corage to run with the ball, rather than pass it?

How many of you spend time making yourselves fit and healthy?

How many of you are too overweight/lazy to get up, twirl around, and sit back down before you post on this thread?

How many of you have fought for your place in your starting XI, spending valuable time practicing and training?

How many times a day do you feel the burn?

How many times a day do you spend shrinking the size of your little friend, rather than expanding your bisceps?

Do you remember the last time you played a whole football match, rather than watch it?

Again...How many of you actually have played proffesional football?

  Why?

From the 'what annoys me' thread has come the thought as to why fans or supporters might leave a game early. Have any of you guys left a match before the end? If so, I'd love to know why? A train to catch? Wife in labour? What is so important that would make you leave early?

Seen this lately with citeh fans when their team 1-0 up; I see it at OT all the time. WHY?

  Vidic happy at united!!
Posted by: andrewcmufc - 25-08-2009, 08:02 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (34)

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has played down lingering speculation that he is open to a move away from Old Trafford.

The Serbian has spoken out after recent comments credited to his agent Paolo Fabbri claimed he was angling after a move to Barcelona.

Vidic, who was one of United's key players in their Premier League title defence last season, made his first start of the new term in Saturday's 5-0 win over Wigan after recovering from injury.

"I've never said anything about Barcelona or Real Madrid or AC Milan - or any club," he said.

"I never speak about my future so I don't know why someone else does. I showed at Wigan on the pitch how happy I am at this club.

"Any fan of United only has to see how I played to know how committed I am. I spoke with my agent about this and what he said. I know about all the rumours about me but I don't want it to have an impact on the club.

"It's not a good time for my club to be hearing those rumours," added the 27-year-old in reference to the summer departures of Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Vidic also dismissed reports his wife, Ana, has not settled in Manchester.

"It's not true that my wife is not happy," he continued. "I don't know how that rumour came out, she's not what you'd call a famous wife. She's never spoken to a newspaper."
