  Vidic happy at united!!
Posted by: andrewcmufc - 25-08-2009, 08:02 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (34)

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has played down lingering speculation that he is open to a move away from Old Trafford.

The Serbian has spoken out after recent comments credited to his agent Paolo Fabbri claimed he was angling after a move to Barcelona.

Vidic, who was one of United's key players in their Premier League title defence last season, made his first start of the new term in Saturday's 5-0 win over Wigan after recovering from injury.

"I've never said anything about Barcelona or Real Madrid or AC Milan - or any club," he said.

"I never speak about my future so I don't know why someone else does. I showed at Wigan on the pitch how happy I am at this club.

"Any fan of United only has to see how I played to know how committed I am. I spoke with my agent about this and what he said. I know about all the rumours about me but I don't want it to have an impact on the club.

"It's not a good time for my club to be hearing those rumours," added the 27-year-old in reference to the summer departures of Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Vidic also dismissed reports his wife, Ana, has not settled in Manchester.

"It's not true that my wife is not happy," he continued. "I don't know how that rumour came out, she's not what you'd call a famous wife. She's never spoken to a newspaper."

Things that you hate about football

What do you hate about football? Hre's some things that I dislike -

Diving - Why cheat?

Placing the ball and inch or so outside the corner, when taking a corner - As if it will make a difference

The refeere playing a rounded amount of stoppage time, rather than the exact time

Spitting through your nose - Although it gives me a slight satisfaction...don't know why

Falling and rolling over as if you are on fire when the player next to you barley touched you

Liverpool - No need to give a reason

Flukes and lucky goals...often done by the above

Red cards and offsides given when they shouldn't have been given

Here's how it works. You see the pictures below and come up with something funny that the person inside it is saying, and post it to show everyone and give us all a laugh. Big Grin This weeks competition is based mostly on Berbatov.

Vidic on Trial for Violent Conduct On Rodallega
Posted by: WatchMUFC - 24-08-2009, 09:00 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (10)

Well someone’s about to go get herself a little powdered barrister wig and go all Legally Blonde: UK. Because it appears Nemanja Vidic is facing a trial for an alleged slap to the face of Wigan Athletic’s Hugo Rodallega.

The English FA have announced they will review the footage of Saturday’s match and pass a judgment which could see the Serbian defender out for 3 matches.

Manchester United already suffer a weakened defense with Rio Ferdinand out for another 2 weeks, and Jonny Evans needing surgery and looking noticeably hurt while stepping off the pitch at the DW stadium this weekend.

Referree Howard Webb said he did not see the incident occur, but Howard Webb’s record of vision isn’t exactly anything to go by (he does have a price on his head in Poland). I didn’t see the slap either. And I follow the movement of Vidlicious like a hawk. He’s innocent!

I’m channeling Elle Woods as we speak. I think I’m going to go for more of an Marie Antoinette (in robes) and less for John Cleese in “A Fish Called Wanda” look.

  Robben to United?
Posted by: WatchMUFC - 24-08-2009, 08:34 AM - Forum: Transfer Talk - Replies (14)

No one has ever accused Sir Alex Ferguson of frequenting a tanning salon to perfect his uniquely rosy skin tones, but his face may well darken a shade or two if Manchester United fail to bring in any more new faces before the end of the transfer window. After being snubbed by Wesley Sneijder, Ferguson has had another look at Real Madrid's reserve team and decided he will settle for Arjen Robben.
