Thumbs Down NEW KIT??
Posted by: DannyS - 01-05-2009, 07:08 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (22)

Just been looking on the www.thespoiler.co.uk at the possible ideas for new united shirts! They look absolutely horrible, I cant believe somebody actually thinks they are good enough even for a joke!

The lace up part on the away kit is soo bad its untrue! I remamber my first ever footall shirt was the green and white one from the early ninteys with a collar similar to that, but that 15+ years ago!

Im was looking forward to getting a new United shirt soon but I may leave it a year if this is anything to go by!

  Rio May Face Gunners
Posted by: WatchMUFC - 01-05-2009, 06:01 PM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (1)

Rio Ferdinand could be fit for Manchester United's second-leg Champions League showdown with Arsenal after scans revealed he had not cracked a rib.

The England defender was forced off and had to be taken to hospital during the first leg of the sides' semi-final meeting at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

He will miss United's Premier League game with Middlesbrough tomorrow but manager Sir Alex Ferguson is confident he could be fit to face the Gunners.

"It's good news with Rio. It is not a cracked bone, he had a bit of bruising on the lung which was why he was coughing up blood but there has been

nothing since then," Ferguson said.

"Hopefully we can get him ready for Tuesday, he seems almost back to normal. But he won't play tomorrow.

"Of course when you see it at the time you fear the worst but now it is just a case of getting him back training, hopefully on Sunday, and getting him ready for Tuesday."

  Victory Parade for the team
Posted by: RedEagle - 29-04-2009, 02:10 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (1)

We should get a proper parade in Manchester at the end of this season.
Last Year was a joke the council banning it, why don’t they give us a break. The treble parade in 1999 went OK what is there F****** problem.

  Buying Kaka?
Posted by: WatchMUFC - 25-04-2009, 10:24 PM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (25)

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Kaka over a summer transfer to Old Trafford.

According to The Sun, club officials met with Kaka yesterday.

A source 'close to the AC Milan superstar' is quoted as saying:

"It was a very positive meeting, although nothing was agreed.

"The player wants a five-year contract and wages of £135,000 a week. He is very keen to join United and these are figures that are within United's pay structure. It's up to them what happens now."

As Manchester City are understood to have offered over £100m for the Milan forward in January, United are expected to have to pay at least £70m if they are to persuade the Italians to sell their prized asset.

United's interest in Kaka will inevitably be interpreted as an indication that they are preparing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer to Real Madrid.

A concurring Daily Mail also has United's pursuit of Kaka on their backpage, with the Mail declaring that 'intermediaries of the Premier League champions will meet Milan over the next 10 days to discuss figures and the possibility of luring the brilliant Brazilian playmaker to Old Trafford.'
