CONFIRMED: Valdes Loaned to Standard Liege
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 27-01-2016, 12:49 PM - Forum: Transfer Talk - No Replies

Victor Valdes is delighted to have left Manchester United to sign for Belgian side Standard Liege on loan.

Manchester United announced yesterday that they had agreed a deal with Standard Liege for Valdes to join up with the Belgian club for the remainder of the season.

And the move has quickly been pushed through, with Valdes taking to social media to express his pleasure at now being at Standard Liege.

The Spanish goalkeeper posted a photograph of himself at what is now his new home ground.

On loan Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes admits that he is feeling welcomed and comfortable at Standard Liege.

Reports of Valdes’ impending loan move to Standard Liege emerged towards the end of last week and Manchester United finally confirmed the Spaniard’s departure on Sunday.

The Champions League winner has explained that he is looking to use his experience and help Standard Liege to achieve their targets during his six-month loan stay at the club.

Valdes told Standard TV: “I will try to use my experience and help the team to achieve our objectives; they are to be in the top six this season and win a cup.”

Valdes admits that he is feeling a lot more comfortable and welcome at Standard Liege, indicating that he is happy to finally leave his nightmarish stint at Manchester United behind him.

Manchester United fan trolls Manchester City

so funny.

One Manchester United fan trolled Manchester City over their Champions League history (or lack of) by prank calling the club.

You may have seen yesterday’s video of a City fan calling the Red Devils’ ticket office to request a seat at Old Trafford for the last 16 of the competition, just a few days after they’d been knocked out.

It seems the latest prank call on United’s ‘noisy neighbours’ was in revenge for the initial video and it’s just as brutal.

The supporter asks for a chance to see the Champions League trophy on City’s stadium tour only to be told, obviously, that they haven’t won it yet.

It’s their reaction that makes the clip…

  Injury Woes Mount Up
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 07-12-2015, 12:40 PM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (1)

With Rooney nursing an "ankle injury" and Shaw already a long term absentee, the squad that travelled to Germany looks really light, for such an important game:

David De Gea, Sergio Romero; Paddy McNair, Chris Smalling, Guillermo Varela, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Daley Blind, Matteo Darmian; Bastian Schweinsteiger, Michael Carrick, Sean Goss, Nick Powell, Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata; Memphis Depay, Marouane Fellaini, Anthony Martial.

So, someone should ask LVG that with hindsight, should he have let RVP and Chicharito go? Strength in Depth?
