How could he possibly not leave? The kind of treatment that he has been getting from both the club as well as the fans was certainly not something any player would want to hear or experience in his career. In the case of Wayne Rooney, things have been considerably against him. Even if the reason why he was not in the first squad was down upon his injury, it is still very much conceivable that his heart and pride is what that is injured more!
