Scholes to Decide on his Future
#1
Wow! I saw this on skysports.com this morning:

Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes has suggested he will consider his future at the end of the season after admitting he questions his contribution to the team.

Over the past couple of campaigns, the former England international has been used more sparingly by manager Sir Alex Ferguson and this season has appeared in just over half of the club's fixtures.

Scholes' contract at Old Trafford expires next summer and there has yet to be any indication as to whether he will be offered a new deal.

The 35-year-old admits to thinking about his future and believes he has not been performing to the levels he attained earlier in his career.

Different
"I wouldn't say I am playing some of my best football," said Scholes.

"I don't always feel I am making as much of a contribution as I'd like to.

"I always preferred it when I was playing regularly and scoring a lot more goals. Now, it's different.

"I play once every two or three weeks and I can only hope to do well when I get the chance. I don't have a choice.

"Obviously, every player wants to play every week, but I know now it can't always happen. I just have to be okay with that."

Regarding his future, Scholes added: "You do think about it. I'm not too sure.

"I'll just carry on with the way it's going at the moment and we'll see what happens come the end of the season."

Another loyal and superb servant to United. His legs have slowed a little, meaning he is getting later and later for tackles....or is he early for the next one. He still has a tremendous football brain and what passing ability. I hope if he does decide to hang up his boots, he stays at United in some role.

Really want Scholes to stay on he's brilliant. I really think the goal he scored today against West Ham really helped boost his confidence and I think it's gonna do him a lot of good.
