A report in the Guardian claims Manchester United turned down a significant offer from Paris St Germain for teenage star Adnan Januzaj in the current transfer window. The French champions have refused to drop their interest in the 18-year‑old despite him signing a major contract at Old Trafford with United reportedly making it clear they do not want to negotiate.

United are also supposed to be VERY interested in Yohan Cabaye and Luke Shaw. Interesting. Still no news on an experienced centre half, though.

Thanks to Sky for an update on this:

Quote:After digging around for clarification, Sky sources have told us that Manchester United did reject an offer from PSG for the youngster - which was made before he signed a new five-year contract in October last year. The offer was for this month but the club turned it down and have no plans to sell any further players in this transfer window.

So, the rumours have started already. The season only finished yesterday and here we are with talk of Luke Shaw (again) from Southampton:

Quote:Manchester United have launched a £27m bid for Southampton's England left-back Luke Shaw, according to Sky sources.

Shaw has been widely mooted as a target for United this summer and it appears they are keen to get their business done before the World Cup and before they have appointed a permanent manager.

They ended their season, with Ryan Giggs in interim charge, against the Saints on Sunday at St Mary's but there is no official confirmation from either side that any talks about Shaw have taken place.

Shaw has made a massive impact since his Southampton debut in November 2012, quickly nailing down a regular role and doing enough to earn his senior England debut against Denmark in February.

He is nervously waiting to find out whether he will be selected by Roy Hodgson on Monday for his World Cup squad and might soon have a decision to make about his club future.

United are keen to sign a young left-back but will have to find a huge transfer fee to tempt Southampton, with Shaw having signed a new five-year contract on his 18th birthday last July.

Their veteran left-back Patrice Evra is out of contract this summer and could have played his last game for the club on Sunday.

United could also appoint their next permanent manager in the next week, with Netherlands national coach Louis van Gaal still favourite to take over from David Moyes.

Quote:Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and are set to make a stunning move for his team-mate Arjen Robben.

A £20million deal for Kroos was agreed when David Moyes was still in charge at Old Trafford and his successor, former Bayern coach Louis van Gaal, has said the move can go ahead
. This is according to the Daily Mail:

Manchester United forward Bebe will leave discussions regarding another potential loan move with his representative.

The 23-year-old completed a shock switch to Old Trafford in 2010, penning a five-year contract upon his arrival.

He has, however, struggled to offer a return on United's sizeable investment, making just two Premier League appearances.

That has forced him to look elsewhere for game time, with the last three seasons seeing him take in spells at Besiktas, Rio Ave and Pacos de Ferreira.

He has impressed during his time back in his native Portugal, sparking reports of interest from Braga and Sporting Lisbon.

Any truth?

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has turned down an offer to join Aston Villa.

Disappointed in all the transfers stuff as we have not got anybody in and other teams are doing little bits, really can't afford to be slow off the blocks next season. Seem to remember being told last years transfer farce was a one off ,I know it's the world cup and thats a problem as we will be paying well over the odds for players who have 1 or 2 great games in Brazil.

For sure that has happened. Remember Karel Poborsky? I haven't seen a thing from Ed Woodward. Low profile or what??

So, Fabregas is off to Stamford Bridge. Edward Woodward (brilliant name by the way) needs to have a quiet chat alone in a room with a gun. I was certain that was going to be our first deal of the summer. How we'll sort out our midfield now I don't know. Is Gundogan an option? Can we find any better solutions? Will we buy every Dutch player out there? Who knows what other questions will await us this summer.
