Yup, you've read it right. Manchester United players voted for Michael Carrick as the player's Player of the Year. I shall be quoting the important facts I've gathered from my news source. Also, to promote transparency, I shall be placing the source below. Thanks!
Quote:Robin van Persie's headline quality made him supporters' player of the year, but team-mates' accolade is the one to take note of
Quote:On Wednesday evening, Michael Carrick beat Robin van Persie to the Manchester United Players' Player of the Year award on a unanimous vote.
Quote:All looked at the 31-year-old's contribution to a campaign that ended in the club's 20th title and chose Carrick's quiet class ahead of Van Persie's headline quality, despite memories being fresh of the championship-sealing hat-trick against Aston Villa, which included a superb 25-yard volley smashed on the run past Brad Guzan.
Quote:Sir Alex Ferguson, Carrick's soon to be erstwhile manager, has described this as his "best ever season" at United, after joining in the summer of 2006 from Tottenham Hotspur.
Congratulations, Michael! You truly deserve this award. GGMU!

Hey Everyone,
Long time member, first time posting. I'm in the United States (Atlanta), originally from Jamaica and have been a Man-United supporter since 9 (I'm 36 now). I was thinking about purchasing the Gold Stream so I can watch all the matches and get rid of Fox Soccer...I know NBC will be taking care of the broadcasting rights for EPL next season, but don't want to get Fox Soccer just for the CHL games. Does anyone know if I can stream through Google TV? What about over my phone (in case I'm at work or on the road)..I use Android FWIW.
Glory Glory!!

Newcastle United have banned journalists from The Telegraph after the publication reported a story of unrest at the club.
Their north-east correspondent Luke Edwards reported tensions between the French set of players and the rest of the squad, and Newcastle have been left angered by the story.
In light of the ban, editor of The Telegraph Tony Gallagher said on Twitter: "Things at Newcastle must be worse than we thought: they have banned our reporter Luke Edwards for revealing the dressing room is split.
"Worse, they have engaged lawyers to demand a public apology 'forthwith' and withdrawal of Luke's article. I can help them here: no."
Newcastle sent a solicitor's letter to The Telegraph, which read as: "Having carefully considered the content of the article Newcastle United have asked for it to be made clear that unless a full apology is received from the Daily Telegraph and the article is immediately withdrawn from the Telegraph online edition, then both Luke Edwards and any representative of the Daily Telegraph/Sunday Telegraph will be banned from attending St James' Park and from attending any Newcastle United pre-match press conferences and all Newcastle United player interviews at the training facilities with immediate effect."
Newcastle slumped to a 6-0 defeat at home to Liverpool on Saturday, with many fans questioning whether manager Alan Pardew is the right man to steer the Magpies from relegation. Newcastle are currently five points clear of the drop zone in 17th spot, but Wigan a place below them have a game in hand.
