Quantity Vs Quality |

Which would you choose?
A small team full of stars, or a large, average team?
Now that you have made your choice, what was Alex Ferguson's?
It seem that he has gone for quantity, especially in Midfielders and in Strikers.
Look at our Centre Midfield. We have so many player who can play there, but who usually starts a game? Alot of the time it's Carrick and Flecher, sometimes Anderson and also Scholes. Would you put any of those in a World XI? I thought not.
It's like our CMs are just there, in a game, not contributing. You see their name on the team sheet but forget they are playing.
It's the same with our Strikers, look at them -
Wayne Rooney
Dimitar Berbatov
Micheal Owen
Frederico Macheda
Mame Biram Diouf (on loan)
Danny Welbeck
...the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, and we have many other players who cn play there (Obertan, Giggs etc). 5 Strikers and we still struggle to score goals! No world class players there, and the only person most top division clubs would be willing to buy would be Rooney.
I think people are forgeting that Berbatov is the most expensive Manchester United player EVER, and still looks nervous playing in a United shirt. He's not doing well to fight for his place and is spending more time on the bench, feeling the same way last sasonas Tevez did.
Fergie did Owen a favor, rescuing his career by bringing him to United, and he needs to repay that favor. He could have gone for any striker in the world but chose Owen. We all know that Owen's finishing is his best quality, but that is the one thing that has been terrible recently.
The other strikers are young and developing, so not much pressure should be put on them, but come on, we need to improve our strike force and CM! I find Aguero as a MUST BUY after yesterday's game, and also a Defensive Midfielder, so that Anderson has the freedom to go up and attack. A goalscoring Centre Midfielder wouldn't go amiss either.
There...I'm Done!

YOU ARE LIVING IN THE YEAR 2000
A strange Hobo comes up to you and tells you that Liverpool Goal-Hero Micheal Owen will, in 9 years time, will be playing for Manchester United.
Do you believe him?

I'm a big fan of this guy. He looks like he could be a big star at Old Trafford soon, when he comes in January, along wth Liyjic. His finishing is great, knows how to header a ball, very fast, energetic, and is a team player.
There seems to be some doubts over whether he will be able to handle English football, and I think it will take him a long time. For me it seems that he wil become one of the older goalscorers in Europe (Villa, Fabiano, Berbatov, Ribery etc) and it will take him time to adjust.
I just wanted to say that I can see can a lot of shirts being sold with his name on the back, and a certain club from Spain *sighs* will offer millions for him, and then he will move to them (that being his downfall) claiming it was his dream. (Let's hope not!)
