  CONFIRMED: Adnan Januzaj Loaned Out
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 01-09-2015, 06:34 AM - Forum: Transfer Talk - Replies (5)

Quote:Adnan Januzaj has joined Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

The young Belgium international was the first Reds player to score in the Barclays Premier League this season, when he netted the only goal in the 1-0 win at Aston Villa. He will now spend the rest of the campaign gaining some valuable experience in the Bundesliga.

Januzaj told the German club's website: "Borussia Dortmund are a great club. The fans here are supposed to be really incredible and I want to achieve great things with the team."

Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc said: "Adnan is a highly gifted and technically gifted player who completes our attacking department."

Januzaj has made 60 first-team appearances for United so far, since his debut against Wigan Athletic in the 2013 Community Shield. He has notched five goals, including a memorable double in a 2-1 win at Sunderland on his first start in the senior side.

The attacking midfielder inherited the famous no.11 shirt following Ryan Giggs' retirement, but he will wear no.9 in Borussia Dortmund's colours.

Quote:Anders Lindegaard has left Manchester United by moving to West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer.

The Danish goalkeeper made 29 first-team appearances for the Reds after being signed by Sir Alex Ferguson during the transfer window of January 2011.

Lindegaard, who has signed a two-year contract at Albion, told their official club website: "Since moving to England I've been impressed with how well West Brom have done in the Premier League.

"I had a good chat with Tony Pulis - I must call him the 'gaffer' now - and he convinced me it would be a good move for me and the club. From there things moved very quickly. I was very keen to get it done so I can just concentrate on the thing that matters most, the football. I am very happy to join West Brom and hope I can make a big contribution this season."

West Brom's goalkeeping coach Jonathan Gould said: "We are bringing an experienced goalkeeper into the mix. Anders has an international pedigree, he's a big guy and been part of a very good team at Manchester United. I'm sure he will fit in very well."

I am sure we all wish Anders well as he links up with his former Reds team-mates Darren Fletcher and Jonny Evans at his new club.

  Summer Clear out at United
Posted by: ike - 31-08-2015, 06:19 PM - Forum: Transfer Talk - Replies (2)

Not sure if anyone is paying attention here but unless we make some pretty amazing signings in the next few hours we maybe left with Rooney - Fellaini and an unproven 19 year old that scored 8 goals last season as our striker options.
