I created an app called Man U, did I do the right thing?
Posted by: manutdapp - 01-12-2014, 09:08 AM - Forum: The Lounge - No Replies

Before you go all medieval read this completely.

I know Man U is an insult to true United fans. I know the story of the Busby Babes and how their loss served as an inspiration to the club.

However many young and especially Asian fans are unaware of this fact and blithely use the term Man U, even around Liverpool fans.

That's why I created an app which tells the story of the rise and tragic death of the Busby Babes. I named it Man U so that ignorant fans can learn the reason as to why they shouldn't say Man U and stop others from doing so.

Here's the app - http://bit.ly/themanuapp

Hi everybody, im Tim and i live in Northern Ireland 1mile from the Republic of Ireland in a place called Clougue,"clog" i am married to my lovely wife Sheila and we have a 19 year old son called Ryan who attends Edgehill Uni in Southport England. I am 52 years old and i have been supporting Man U since 1972, my favourite player is Eric Cantona, he was born to wear the jersey of Manchester United Fc. when i was a young lad my favourite player was Jimmy Greenhoff as he would put his head where some players wouldn`t put their foot, very brave and a great team player. so thats all about me and i look forward to chatting with some of you over the coming weeks and months. red forever...

  Last Season/This Season
Posted by: Johno - 02-11-2014, 04:05 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (1)

After yet another Derby defeat I would like to hear what other members feel about this season. If you compare the results against teams we have played this season to last we are much worse off. This season.... 9 points against 13 points last season. The goal difference is, For 9 Against 9 compared to 11/7 last season.
Is it me or doe's it feel better this time around? In the last two games, against Chelsea and City, I have been quite pleased with the way United have played, Although not the results. If you analysed all the games this season, I think that every game has got better. At least that "never say die" attitude is back. With a couple of good signings in January I can only see it getting better.

I know this is a United website, but have you guys seen this?

Quote:Few believed those who walked away from Old Trafford in protest would amount to anything tangible but 'The Rebels' have climbed the leagues, basing themselves at Bury's Gigg Lane and latterly Stalybridge Celtic.

Currently seventh in the seventh tier of English football, the club's chief executive Andy Walsh, who has been there since day one, predicts the new stadium in north Manchester will be another crucial turning point
