Daley Blind signs for the Red Devils, a crackin addition to the team, a lot better than the midfield we have the now (not including Mata, Januzaj & Di Maria), we still need a couple more though, a defender & defensive mid. C'mon United

Exclamation Frustration Release Zone
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 27-08-2014, 06:42 AM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (34)

This thread can be the place where you release your frustrations and vent your anger and amazement at what is currently happening at our dear old club.

While we are being asked to be patient by the second manager in a row, it is not easy to take the fact that players don't seem to BELIEVE. They seem to be strangers - a team of individuals - unable to string passes together and bond as a group.

The slide started before Sir Alex left. There can be no doubt about that, as he won the league with a poor side - we have to be honest. But, and here is my main gripe, nothing has really been done to counteract that slide. Fellaini was bought last summer. He isn't the answer.

David Gill left at the same time as Sir Alex, but there didn't seem to be a smooth transition or handover period for Ed Woodward. Woodward has looked out of his depth to be honest. He may have signed Di Maria, but where are the experienced centre backs? Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are not the answer!

So come on, get it off your chest. What has gone wrong? What needs to be done to fix it? What would you do?

The only thing we ask is that you TRY to keep the language reasonable.

So vent and solve here!

CONFIRMED: Marcos Rojo a United Player
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 20-08-2014, 06:45 AM - Forum: Transfer Talk - No Replies

Quote:Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Argentina defender Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon.
United said the deal, which Sporting say is worth £16m, is subject to a medical and personal terms.

Sporting have also confirmed Nani, 27, is returning on loan, seven years after the winger joined United from Lisbon.
Left-sided defender Rojo, 24, played in all six of Argentina's World Cup games on their run to the final in Brazil this summer.
Last week he refused to train with Sporting because of his frustration at not being allowed what he described on Argentine radio as a "dream" move to United, although he subsequently apologised.
"A further announcement will be made when the process is complete," said United in a message on the club's Twitter account on Tuesday.
In a statement released to the Lisbon stock exchange, Sporting set out the payment schedule agreed with United for the player.

They will receive £8m immediately, with further instalments of £4m being paid on 1 December this year and 1 July, 2015.
In addition they will get 20% of any sell-on fee for Rojo over £18.4m.
Rojo, who joined Sporting from Spartak Moscow in July 2012, missed the Portuguese club's first league game of the season last weekend.
United have been searching for a central defender following the summer departures of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, with Rojo's versatility making him a good fit for United manager Louis van Gaal's preferred 3-5-2 system.

Van Gaal missed out on Thomas Vermaelen earlier this month after the Belgian opted to join Barcelona from Arsenal.
Nani is understood to have joined the Lions on a season-long loan, but neither club has released details of the winger's move.
The Cape Verde-born player spent four years at Sporting after leaving Real Massama in 2003.
After joining United in 2007, he made 230 appearances in all competitions for United, scoring 41 goals.
