Man Utd v Wolves 6/11/2010

Man Utd didn't lose a game at home this season and should have the spirit to beat Wolves on Saturday.

  Nani and Fletcher Injured
Posted by: Hyltz'. - 03-11-2010, 03:48 PM - Forum: Man Utd News - No Replies

Last nights 3 - 0 win over Turkish Champion Bursaspor, has left United with yet two more injuries to add to it's ever lengthening list of absentees.
The win has come at some cost to an already depleted First Team 11 that will now probably be unable to call upon last nights goal scorer Fletcher, (ankle) and Nani, (groin) for Saturdays match against a Wolves team still high on last weeks 2 - 1 win over our 'Noisy Neighbours'.

This is more bad news for United who, having already thrown away points to Fulham, Everton, Bolton, Sunderland and West Brom, just can't afford to drop any more with the runaway league leaders Chelsea already 5 points ahead.

In a post match interview a matter-of-fact Sir Alex Ferguson said, (of the latest injuries) " These things happen in football.", adding a little later " We may have Darron Gibson back after a bout of flu but Anderson has had a virus as well and I don't think he will be ready."

According to Physioroom.com, United have 7 'First Team' players, unavailable to them at present, (not including Owen Hargreaves).

  • Anderson ..... Ankle/Foot Injury ..... No Return Date
  • Fletcher ....... Ankle/Foot Injury ...... No Return Date

I hope it is not Rio’s knee gone againSad we are just getting the defense sorted.
Chris Smalling is a class act, I like his attitude.

  No January buys?
Posted by: RedDevil78 - 31-10-2010, 05:01 PM - Forum: Man Utd News - No Replies

Sir Alex confirms no transfer activity in January. Bluff... response to Rooney issue... happy with the current squad? Some central midfield bolstering would be nice. United have not had the run of the middle third since sometime last season. Who is out there? Who would come to Old Trafford?
Rio not happySad
