  Most Exciting Season Yet?
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 04-10-2009, 02:44 PM - Forum: Premier League - Replies (8)

I've just finished watching le Arse v Blackburn and what an entertaining match it was. It ended 6-2 to Wenger's lot. He celebrates being their longest serving manager this week and also, being everbody's second favourite manager (sarcasm).
There was piece on Football Focus yesterday, I think, about the fact that this season has seen the highest average number of goals per match at 2.95! There have been only (not including yesterday) only 5 draws in 66 matches.
With citeh spending big, le Arse re-finding some form (and the net!!), chelski and the wheel stealers also looking reasonable, this season, like everyone before it, has delivered the early season promise of being the best ever.
I'm sure we're all going to see many twists and turns as the season progresses.
Hmm, I guess a draw will be preferable this afternoon at the bridge.
I just can't get enough....

  The great Sir Alex
Posted by: trini - 02-10-2009, 04:16 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (5)

Just thought i would start a new thread on the great man,Sir Alex.We hear so much about Wenger from Arsenal,The chelsea manager a great football mind. But little praise is given by the media to what a fantastic manager we have and what he has done for us over the years..
Speaking on a personal level,he has made an ass of my predictions over and over again that i no longer question his team selection. Not that i'm an expert by any means, just a fanatical United supporter for over 40 years.
The latest was the Wolfsburg game. When i saw Carrick's name,i thought what the bloody hell??Carrick hasn't been playing well.We know he's a great midfielder but surely there are better in form midfielders. So what happens??Carrick plays as we know he can and pops up with a fantastic winner!!Yes,that's what Sir Alex does..Ok,he has made mistakes along the way and that's expected. But so often he has got it spot on,it's amazing.Does he get credit for it?no..
Does anyone on our site feel the same?It would be great to hear what others think as i'm sure he's made fools of us all and long may it continue ,once we win,lol

United in the News 2 - Rooney out of Moscow?
Posted by: Noucamp99 - 02-10-2009, 11:34 AM - Forum: Man Utd News - Replies (6)

The 2nd piece of news centres on Wayne Rooney and the imminent birth of his 1st child by wife Colleen. The baby is due on the 24th October, days after the clash in Mosco with CSKA. Wazza has been reported as saying he wants to be there for the birth.

He could also miss the Anfield trip. Maybe she should keep her legs crossed until the Sunday night??

The report has been updated on line, and goes with the fact that SAF allegedly didn't know anything about this. Not sure how true that is?
