Quote:Patrice Evra has completed his move from Manchester United to Juventus, both clubs have confirmed.
The 33-year-old left-back has signed for the Bianconeri on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £1.5millon.
Evra, a France international who has played over 300 times for United, was given permission to leave Old Trafford following the signing of England international Luke Shaw from Southampton, despite having only signed a new one-year contract in May.
The defender was one of only a handful of names that did not travel with the squad on their pre-season tour of the USA.

His message to the fans, from the United website, reads:
Quote:"After a great deal of thought I have decided the time is right for me to leave Manchester United. It is the biggest decision of my career as this club is, and will always remain, in my heart.
Joining and playing for Manchester United has been a privilege, a dream come true and my time here has been so memorable. Through the good times and the bad times we have all stuck together and remained loyal. I have always said you don’t just join Manchester United, you join the family and long may that tradition continue.
"This club is steeped in history and I feel privileged to have become a part of that. Over the past nine years I have met and worked with some incredible people, many of whom will remain friends for life. I would like to thank everyone at the club - teammates, coaches and in particular all the staff who made every single day in Carrington or at Old Trafford a special day.
"An immense thank you to Sir Alex Ferguson for making it all possible, for giving me the privilege to be a captain, to be inspired by the legend of Manchester United and to understand that nobody is bigger than the club.
"My biggest thanks go to the fans. We have had some fantastic times together, we lifted all of those trophies together and that night in Moscow will live with us all forever. Every single time I stepped out in that shirt I knew I was playing for the badge and for a very special club. My passion for this club will live on and I know you guys will go on to enjoy more success in the coming seasons."
Good luck Pat. Thanks for everything man

So, the end of the Nike relationship and the start of a new one with Adidas, which will be worth £750 million over 10 years! A new sponsorship record!!!
Quote:Sportswear giant Adidas has signed a £750m deal to make Manchester United's kit for 10 years from next season.
It comes after US rival Nike decided to end its association at the end of the 2014-15 season.
Nike has been paying United £23.5m a year, and the new deal is worth a world record-breaking £75m ($128m) a season to the Old Trafford club.
Champions League winner Real Madrid's £31m-a-year deal with Adidas was previously the biggest club deal.
Adidas will provide training and playing kit to all the club's teams and will have the exclusive right to distribute dual-branded merchandising products worldwide.
The huge sum involved is only £40m less than the Glazer family paid for the club in 2005.

United Launch New Kit |

With the new sponsor, Chevrolet, on board, Manchester United launched another new kit. Back to the traditional RED shirt, white shorts and black socks, there is no tablecloth styling this time around.
Quote:The shirt welcomes the return of the white collar, which for the first time is a ribbed crew neck design. The collar also has a subtle chevron finish, replicating the pattern used on the chest of United shirts from the early 20th century and in more recent times.
A hidden button in the collar is unique to the shirt – red with a black trim and engraved with the club name – while there is a small label inside the back of the neck with the message "Youth, Courage, Greatness" to represent the club's values.
On the back of the shirt, below the neck, is a black devil from the club crest. Across the back is an engineered mesh in a series of chevrons to again emphasise the importance of the shape to United.
