  Top 10
Posted by: silverhoop - 11-11-2013, 02:08 PM - Forum: The Lounge - Replies (3)

Cristiano Ronaldo
2Ryan Giggs
3Wayne Rooney
4George Best
5Eric Cantona
6Bobby Charlton

7Peter Shmeichel
8Ruud Van Nistelrooy
9Robin Van Persie
1David Beckham

Had a look on-line at a top 10 site and they have listed the top 10 united players ever as:

Now, don’t get me wrong, they are all good players, but can’t help feeling the list was put together by a 19 year old.

My United top 10 (Not necessarily in order)
George Best
Eric Cantona
Steve Bruce
Denis Law
Bobby Charlton
Nobby Stiles
Ryan Giggs
Brian McClair
Mark Hughes
Paul Scholes

I was too young to see Law, Best, Charlton and Stiles but I am basing this on DVD’s and videos since I was a child. Also way too young to know of Duncan Edwards or Tommy Taylor so I ignorantly leave them off the list.

  Who to bring in?
Posted by: silverhoop - 11-11-2013, 01:50 PM - Forum: Transfer Talk - Replies (1)

I was really annoyed earlier in the season that we hadn't signed Ozil. After watching him yesterday I am not to bothered anymore.

Don't get me wrong he is still a very good player and in the United team would look even better but not the player I thought he was going to be.

Where would you strengthen? Who should come in on January?

So much more than 3 points

Thought our display yesterday, especially the first half, was next to impeccable.

Had we lost yesterday, not only would the gap have been 11 points but all the long knives would have been out for Moyes.

Suddenly, sitting in 5th place, 5 points behind Arsenal, who will, lets face it, falter further, I can see us going from strength to strength.

What did you make of the performance?

  Hello to the community!

Hello everyone,

I'm a Manchester United fan since I saw the final with Bayern! That night I realized that Man Utd can do anything if they just put their minds to it!

I'm really hoping that Moyes proves himself to be worthy of this current position...but more on that later.

Among my favorite players: Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and De Gea.

I'm glad to be here and salute everyone in the forum!

  It seems Vidic is okay!

That collision between Vidic and David De Gea gave me a real scare and I'm happy to know that Vidic seems to be doing alright!

Quote: "David Moyes says Nemanja Vidic is “okay” and “conscious” after a head injury forced the United captain off during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Vidic collided with David De Gea in the 45th minute, an incident that resulted in United finishing the first half with just 10 men. The Serbian was then replaced at half-time by Tom Cleverley, who slotted into midfield with Phil Jones falling back to fill the void in defence.

Thankfully, speaking during his post-match press conference, the boss gave a positive update on the fitness of Vidic and explained the 32-year-old will now undergo a scan.

“I didn’t see the incident at first,” Moyes said. “From the touchline, I thought it was just a clash but I’ve had a chance to see it now and he took a terrible blow. But as far as I know, he is okay. He is conscious, he will get a scan and we hope he will be okay.”

I'm glad he's okay and I'm really joyous we beat Arsenal even though Vidic payed a big price for this victory! Hopefully he will be up and running soon!

I'm so happy we were the ones that stopped Arsenal's good form (before the match they were unbeaten in 3 months in Premier League).
